Dear Cathy, Jamie & Lindsey,
My deepest sympathies for your loss. Dave had a profound influence on all of us and instilled unmeasurable goodness to all who knew and worked with him. As an Eagle Scout I can assure you he was the ultimate Scouting role model....for being prepared and doing a good turn daily. Peace be with you and your family. Love, Dan

We are sorry to hear of the loss of David, this town will miss him greatly.
At this time we take comfort in Jesus words at John 5:28,29 where we read of those asleep in death hearing Jesus voice and coming out from the graves. This is the promise of Jesus, to life right back here on earth.

May these words bring comfort and healing as well as the memories that you will hold in the weeks and months ahead.
With you in this loss, Bette

I cut Daves hair for years. Truly the nicest person. He always loved coming in to see what color my hair was. As a joke we always said we would dye his beard red white and blue for the appropriate hollidays. He will be missed. My condolences to his family. He was a wonderful man.

I first met Dave in January of 2005 when I began my employment as a police officer for the Town of Woodbury. Dave was very gracious and welcoming. Throughout the following years, I saw Dave as a very dedicated employee. On a number of occasions Dave and I would work side by side during a storm clearing an obstructed road. When the job was done, we'd look at each other (as we huffed and puffed) and laugh saying, look at us old farts, still at it.

However, my fondest memories will be the many 3 O'clock in the morning phone calls to Dave's house. Of course with Cathy answering the phone every time, I'd ask if Dave was home and could I speak with him. In the background I could hear David saying, is that George, tell him I be right out.

RIP, my friend.

An amazing man that I have the utmost respect for. A man that touched so many lives, that I think a written list only touches a small portion of. My heart is with Dave's family right now.

He was an incredible man and an amazing mentor. I will never forget him sitting in the tiny Sunday school chairs just so he could look kids in the eye and let them know that they were loved. My heart goes out to your family. Love, Kelly
