Nancy Jane Hatstat (Taylor) died peacefully with her husband by her side at 1016PM on Wednesday March 15th at Waterbury Hospital after a brief battle with cancer.  Nancy handled her death as she handled everything in her life.  Family and friends first.

Nancy was born on November 17th 1942 in Waterbury.  She was the daughter of Beverly (Cummer) and Raymond Taylor Sr.  She graduated Woodbury High School in 1961.

Nancy worked at First National Supermarket in Woodbury for many years and stayed with the company (Stop and Shop) for a very proud 57 years.  Her final stop was in Litchfield where she worked for several years.  She had many great friends which we want to thank for looking after her during her working career.

Nancy always loved taking care of everyone and everything she could.  She would help anyone anytime.  Whether it was family or not, everyone was family to Nancy.  She enjoyed trips to Vermont and Florida.

Nancy was also active in the Woodbury fire department ladies auxilary.  She served in various roles over the years to include president.  She was always proud to be a part of this organization.

Nancy also loved her son Jasons dog Sadie who will miss her dearly.

Nancy is survived by her husband Bud in Woodbury.  Her son Kenneth of Bethlehem and her son Jason and his wife Laura of Woodbury.  Nancy was also survived by her beloved grandaughter Aubrey.  Nancy is also survived by her brother Raymond Taylor Jr and several nieces and nephews.  Nancy was predeceased by Her brother James Taylor Sr.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr Sheddy, Dr Chang nurses Christine, Kailing, Eileen, Chuck, Laura, Sina and all at the Waterbury Hospital personnel who assisted us in this very tough time.  They were steadfast in support and care and it will never be forgotten.

Lastly before her death Nancy requested that we all Love each other and take care of each other.  She requested we spend time with our families for her.

A wake will take place Sunday March 19th at Munson Lovetere Funeral Home 2 School St Woodbury from 4-7 PM.  Funeral Services will be held Monday at 11AM at Munson Lovetere and burial at the New North Cemetery will immediately follow.  A celebration of her life will then commence at the Woodbury Volunteer Fire House.
