Our Staff

At Munson-Lovetere, our licensed funeral directors are available to assist you, any time of the day or night. Our professional staff includes Lissa Lovetere-Stone, the niece of the late Joseph P. Lovetere, Kurstin d. Berghauser, Kevin P. Gallagher and Christine Morneault. We are the only funeral home in the area with four licensed funeral directors available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Families are reassured by this heritage of family ownership, attention to detail and service.

Lissa Lovetere-Stone

Funeral Director and President

Lissa Lovetere-Stone, the niece of the late Joseph P. Lovetere, currently serves as President of the Funeral Home. A lifelong resident of the Woodbury-Southbury area, she is a graduate of Holy Cross High School in Waterbury. She received a Bachelors Degree from Boston University and an Associates Degree in Mortuary Science from Mount Ida College.

Lissa is the third generation to work at her family’s funeral homes where she has been a licensed funeral director since 1990.

She is well known and active in the local business community, most recently serving on the Board of Directors for both the Woodbury & Southbury Business Associations. A resident of Bethlehem, she is married to Mark D. Stone, and is a mother of two children, Andrew and Evelyn.

Lissa is proud of continuing the commitment to the community that her family started decades ago. The family-owned, independently operated funeral home continues to maintain respect among the local townspeople. 


Kurstin D. Berghauser

Kurstin D. Berghauser

Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer

Kurstin D. Berghauser joined Munson-Lovetere Funeral Homes in the spring of 2006 with over 18 years experience in the Greater Waterbury area.

Kurstin was born in Scranton, PA. and lived in Naugatuck for 24 years before moving to Prospect, CT in 2001.

She attended Prospect and Naugatuck public schools and was a graduate of Naugatuck High School. Kurstin graduated from the American Academy McAllister Institute for Funeral Service in 1987 with a degree in Occupational Studies in Funeral Service Education.

She is an individual that prides herself on being very detailed in all aspects of funeral planning. She will also continue to bring to life those finer details that are very important to families. Kurstin's experience and well rounded knowledge of the funeral industry has proven to be a great asset to the Woodbury and Southbury communities.

Her special interests are music, reading, camping and spending time with her two sons, Dylan and Gabriel.


Kevin P. Gallagher

Kevin P. Gallagher

Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer

Kevin P. Gallagher, 3rd generation funeral director originating from Stamford with over 35 years of experience. He joined the Munson Lovetere Funeral Home family in April of 2015 after relocating to Southbury.

Kevin graduated from Stamford High School, class of 1980, then enrolled in the New England Institute of Applied Arts and Science Mortuary College, Boston MA. He graduated as President of the class, cum laude with an Associate Degree in Mortuary Science, class of 1984.

Kevin previously worked as the location manager of a formally family owned and operated funeral home in Stamford and Greenwich. Kevin is passionate about working as a licensed Funeral Director/ Embalmer in a family owned and operated funeral home environment.

Kevin is active in many volunteer organizations including the Lions Club of Woodbury, Rotary Club International, Exchange Club, ARI and he is an Active member of the New Haven Chapter of the Guardian Angels Street Patrol. Kevin, former CT State Martial Arts Champion, enjoys Mixed Martial Arts, holding a 3rd degree Black Belt and has enjoyed teaching both of his children various levels of self-defense throughout the years. 

Kevin is the proud father of 2 children, Daniel and Kianna Gallagher. 


Chrissie Morneault

Chrissie Morneault

Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer

Chrissie R. Morneault graduated from Lincoln College of New England with honors and has joined the Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home family.

 Her exuberant personality and positive attitude helps families feel confident and supported in their deepest time of life. She prides herself on the care she takes and the service she provides.

An animal lover with great maternal extents, Chrissie feels it is an honor to serve the families in our community.

 Chrissie lives in Torrington with her husband, Jason and her two daughters Vallerie and Victoria.


Robyn Dostie Esposito

Robyn Dostie Esposito

Office Manager / Apprentice Embalmer

Robyn Dostie Esposito grew up in Woodbury and graduated from Nonnewaug High School.  She graduated from Lincoln College of New England with a degree in Mortuary Science. 

Robyn joined the military right out of high school and served six years with the Army National Guard as a 63W, Heavy Wheeled Vehicle Repairer, and takes great pride in assisting our families with the Veterans Benefits afforded to them.

Robyn is active in the Youth Lacrosse program in Watertown where she was the founding director of the Girls Youth Lacrosse program and where she still coaches her children.

Robyn lives in Watertown with her children Chelsea, Gabrielle and Franklyn.
