In Loving Memory of Ryan Joseph Anderson
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Ryan, age 22, on April 16, 2026. Born on September 12, 2003, to parents Robert A. Anderson Jr. of Wilton, CT, and Renee H. Anderson of Middlebury, CT. Ryan graduated from Pomperaug High School in 2021 and was pursuing a degree in Business Administration and Accounting at Western Connecticut University. A natural-born athlete, Ryan had a passion for sports throughout his childhood. He played baseball, basketball and football, and was an enthusiastic golfer, often playing with his family, particularly with his grandmother Cheryl. Ryan took great pleasure in supporting his favorite New England sports teams. He attended numerous Red Sox games with his siblings and participated in Patriots training camps and games alongside his father. Ryan enjoyed games of all kinds, including cards, board, computer, and good-natured competitive sports with his siblings who he adored. Ryan cherished gathering for family meals, especially enjoying his father’s American Chop-Suey. He was a kind-hearted and caring individual who relished spending time with his siblings and family.
Ryan will be forever remembered by Bob and Remi, as well as his siblings: Dylan, Brooke, Brady, Olivia, and George. He is also survived by his grandmothers, Patricia Anderson and Cheryl Dilley, and was deeply loved by his late grandfathers Bob Anderson, Sr., and Richard Dilley. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, at Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home, 235 Main Street North, Southbury, CT.
In lieu of a memorial service, we kindly request that you consider donating to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
