Ryan Anderson passed away suddenly on April 16, 2026 in his home in Middlebury.

Ryan was born on September 12, 2003, son of Robert and Renee Anderson. He was a peaceful soul and a talented athlete. He loved to play all sports as a child, excelling in baseball. He was a starting pitcher for a 7/8 year old travel league at 6 years old. He was the quarterback for pop warner football for several years and an avid golfer until his passing.

His fondest memories were of camping in Lake George with the Silvas every summer for many years. He loved his trips to Narragansett every summer to go to Scarborough beach and see his extended family. He had a close bond with his siblings and the four were inseparable as children. He was happiest playing wiffle ball, basketball or playing in the pool with the Anderson 4.

Unfortunately, once Covid hit, all sports and life he loved ended. He was never able to recover from the two years of isolation from school and life, missing his junior and senior year of high school. His love of life ended with Covid.

Ryan was to graduate from West Conn in three weeks with a degree in accounting. He currently worked at Julio's in Southbury for the past six years. He considered Julio's his second home.

Ryan leaves behind his mother, and golf partner, Renee Anderson, his father Robert Anderson of Wilton, brothers, Brady and Dylan Anderson, sister Brooke Anderson, several aunts, uncles, cousins, close family friend Bruno D'Angelis, and his second family at Julio's, especially the Springers who treated him like a son. He also leaves his beloved Beagle, Annie who was with him when he passed. He was predeceased by both grandfathers last year, Richard Dilley and Robert Anderson Sr, and his beloved German shepherd, Riker, who protected Ryan throughout his childhood.

Ryan was a sensitive soul and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 22, 2026 3:00 until 5:00 P.M. with a prayer service beginning at 4:30 held at Munson Lovetere Funeral Home located 235 Main St. N. Southbury.
