We first knew Jerry as a painter. Then, probably like most people he knew, he became more of a friend.

Remember: God is for you. He is on your side, working to give you His best. While trials and loss may not seem like beneficial circumstances, know that God is working in your life. Rather than questioning God, lean on Him for comfort. Read His Word, spend time in His presence, and allow Him to wrap His arms of comfort around your heart in the midst of even your deepest moments of discouragement. God IS FOR YOU!

We greatly enjoyed friendship with Gerry. We met him and his then wife Susan when she was pregnant with Greyson. Our families were in a church group together for about ten years. He and my husband met regularly to talk and to pray. We enjoyed family picnics with them as well as the ups and downs of being in each other's lives. We also knew Gerry Sr. and have fond memories of all of us going to the Lutheran Home to serve the residents a meal and visit with them. The best thing that can happen to any one of us while still in this life is to know the Lord Jesus so that when the time comes for our days here to end, we can be in His presence as Gerry is now.

I am very sorry for the loss of your beloved, Gerald. Please know that Jehovah God is aware of your pain and he cares for you. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) . I pray that you are able to find comfort in God's promise of paradise where there will be no more pain and sorrow (Revelation 21:4,5)  and the many wonderful  memories of your beloved becoming a reality in the future  resurrection in paradise.  (Acts 24:15). Please accept my sincere condolences. (JW.org)
