Anytime Connie showed up at choir rehearsal, we knew it was going to be a great rehearsal. She knew when to get us all laughing- and the right thing to say at serious moments.
As we were all paused by a window on our way into choir one Sunday, she looked out at the brilliant fall leaves and said, with reverance, "I'll never get tired of this show", and we all got caught up in the beauty of God's creation.
At other times (since she sang both alto and tenor parts in choir) she'd get us laughing by saying things like, "Am I supposed to be a lady or a guy on this song?".
So sorry for your loss,
Donna and Dave Obarowski

Our deepest condolences to Virginia Garms and family. Candy and I will remember Connie from our high school days at Masuk High School.
It certainly is a small world. After graduation, we all go our separate ways. So many years after graduation Candy and I met Connie in Woodbury. As luck would have it, we were helping our son with the purchase of a condo in Woodbury. When we went to the condo to meet with the real estate agent, we were so surprised to meet Connie. We spent more time reminiscing about old times in Monroe than we did trying to negotiate a transaction. The good memories never fade, Rest in Peace, Connie, "GO PANTHERS."

I'm sorry for your loss. I sometimes would go the Red Barn and drip off donations or buy consignment. I truly felt welcome there by all the ladies. Many heart felt sympathy to all of you...
Blessings,

Connie was one of my favorite people....whether working at the Red Barn, or our long, heart-felt political discussions, or just laughing together at the absurdity of life, my time with Connie will always be a cherished memory. She was a sort of surrogate mom to me, and I loved her very much. Deepest sympathies to the Bartow, Zombar, and Garms familes.

Connie was one of the warmest, sweetest, funniest, most wonderful friends I ever had. She always welcomed me and everyone I knew who knew her, with her grand smile and a hot cup of tea. When I was a teenager I used to love to just walk over to her house on Hammertown Road and sit and talk about life for hours, take a walk with the kids when they were little, or go look for old houses in Newtown, or just listen to music. She was never too busy for my company and I will always love her for that. I am so sorry she is gone and my condolences to all the family and everyone who loved her.

My condolences to Gin, Mike, Jim, Bill and your families. I will never forget Connie and her loving and caring personality. Her patience shined through while teaching me to drive my first stick shift vehicle. I will always remember her and Robert and how they welcomed me to visit whenever I wanted to come up. I just wish I had kept in better contact over the years. Rest in Peace old friend.
