Sydney A. Rich

Sydney Alexis Rich left us on the morning of Saturday, July 30, 2022 at St. Mary’s Hospital in the presence of her mother and father, Jason and Keri Rich.  She passed away after enjoying 18 years of life and love. 

Sydney was born August 4, 2003 at Danbury Hospital and resided in Southbury, CT.

She enjoyed her days going on the boat, camping, and spending time with her family and dog Bella.

She was a current student at Pomperaug Regional High School.  We are very thankful for all of her friends and teachers that were supportive during her education and special thanks to Cathy Crowdis for all her love and care.

She was survived by her sister Lauren Rich, parents Jason and Keri (Taranovich) Rich, and paternal grandparents John and Peggy Pitcock.

She was predeceased by paternal grandfather Stephan Cameron Rich, maternal grandparents Edwin and Lorraine Taranovich, and older brother Cameron Deen Rich.

Sydney was loved by many friends and family and touched the lives of everyone she met. A special thank you to all the doctors, nurses, and staff from Connecticut children's medical center for all their loving care over the years.  Donations can be made to CCMC.  

Services will be Friday, August 5, 2022 calling hours 4pm-7pm with a service at 6:30, at Munson Lovetere Southbury.  Graveside service will be Saturday, August 6, 2022 10am at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Watertown.
