Stephen [Steve] N. Harding, age 68, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Southbury, Connecticut on September 12, 2023.
Steve was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of Nelson and Lucille Harding (Place). He graduated from Brian McMahon High School in 1972, and then went on to Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio earning a Bachelors of Science Degree.
Steve was an avid athlete from a young age, playing competitive level tennis and soccer. He went on to become a professional tennis player in his early adult years. Steve also had an ear and love for music joining the Hot Shots Drum Corps as a youth and reinvigorated that passion later in life joining the resurgence of the Bridgeport Pride Alumni Drum Corps.
Remaining to cherish Stephen’s memory are his loving wife Bethe [Lindsay], and daughters; Karie Braca [John] of Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania, and Kellie Geanuracos [Thomas] of Southbury, Connecticut. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jordyn L. Geanuracos, Lily S. Braca, and Christian T. Geanuracos whom he cherished and loved with every ounce of his being. In addition to his immediate family, Steve is also remembered with love by his many brother-in laws and sister-in laws, nieces, and nephews. Preceding Steve in death were his parents, Nelson and Lucille, his uncle Everett Harding and aunt Rebecca Davis. His kindness to others and his love for his family will be missed but the memories will stay in their hearts forever.
A celebration of life will be held Monday, September 18, 2023 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home, 235 Main St. N. A prayer service will begin at 7:00 pm.
