Sharon Heusted

Sharon Heusted, 69 of Ansonia passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, May 9, 2023.

Sharon was born on July 23, 1953 in Greenwich, CT—the town her family helped found—to parents Bruce and Barbara Ross Heusted. She graduated from Greenwich High School in 1972. After graduation, Sharon furthered her education and earned a CNA certificate.

Sharon had a 32-year career in bookkeeping, and spent her final 12 years with Spinnaker Management in Stamford, CT.

Sharon is remembered fondly for her many hobbies, her love of nature, and her artistic skill. When not at the beach, she could be found camping or planting flowers in her garden. Her spare time was spent drawing, watching movies, playing games, and listening to music. One of Sharon’s most beloved memories was the time spent with her canine companion of 12 years, Gipper.

Sharon was a longtime member of the First Congregational Church in Stamford, where she sang in the choir and served on the Board of Missions.

Sharon is survived by her loving brothers, Bruce Heusted and Bob (wife Adelaide) Heusted; her adored nieces, Emily (husband Michael) and Madeline (husband Robert), and many other family members and friends.

A memorial gathering will be held Friday May 19, 2023 from 10-11am with a service beginning at 11am at the Southbury location of Munson-Lovetere, located 235 Main St. North. Burial will immediately follow services at Umpawaug Cemetery in Redding, CT.
