Rose Marie Montibello-James, 68, of Waterbury Connecticut was called home to the loving arms of our
heavenly father on Monday September 18 th , after a courageous six-year battle with cancer. She was
born on September 19 th , 1954 in Peekskill NY. She went to Elementary School and High School in
Mahopac, NY. Rose worked tirelessly with many different jobs to support her beautiful growing family
with the last 20 years as a dedicated medical biller. She departed this world at her home surrounded by
her loving family. Rose ruled the roost in her home keeping an immaculate house and took immense joy
serving everyone wonderful home cooked dinners. She was at her happiest when there was a holiday,
birthday, or family dinner. With Rose, family came first. She was the most selfless, hard-working, honest,
and true-blue person that we ever knew. Rose and her husband Tom enjoyed traveling for thirty years
together visiting many states and countries. But Rose’s happy places were Cape Cod and Vermont which
is where the two were married in 2008 at the Arlington Inn. During everyday life, the two were
inseparable doing everything together from food shopping to working on the lawn. They were the
ultimate soulmates as well as best friends. In no uncertain terms, Rose was the rock of our family. She’s
irreplaceable and has left an empty hole in all of our hearts. We look forward to being reunited with her
when our time comes. We will always be in her debt for the warm memories she has left us, she will
always be in our thoughts, and we will always love her. Rose is survived by her loving husband Tom
James, adoring children; Gregory Nolen, Christopher Nolen and Jessica Nolen, Brother Louis Montibello,
grandchildren Rose Murdock, Louis Nolen and Charlotte Nolen. The family would also like to recognize,
in particular, the loyalty and kindness of her cousin and best friend, Antoinette Montibello.
