Southbury- Robert S. Lindeborn, 88, of Heritage Village, South-bury, entered into eternal rest on August 9, 2021. He was the husband of the late Bernice L. Lindeborn, who passed in November 2020, for 42 years. Born on February 1, 1933, he was the son of the late Harry and Sarah (Murphy) Lindeborn of New Jersey. Also, the step-son to the late William Conroy of Binghamton, NY.
Robert was a veteran of the Korean War with the U.S. Air Force. In younger years, he worked for Hoffman Fuel in Monroe, CT. He went on to take the position of Supervisor of 911 in Redding, CT for 14 years. He retired with his wife Bernice (Lent) Lindeborn in Heritage Village, of which she recently also passed in November 2020 at the age of 91.They were living legends for the family, showing love and compassion. She loved keeping track of the members in the family and her gardens and he with his love of reading books and conversations all about them. They will both be lovingly missed.
He is predeceased by his brother, Harry Lindeborn, Jr. (Diane) of Binghamton, NY and his first wife, Jeannette Huhtanen of Nichols, NY. He is survived by his stepsister, Cathy Nichols (John) of Binghamton, NY; his sons, Richard and David (Debra) Lindeborn of Ohio; his step daughters, Ev Lindeborn of Southbury, Jacquie (Alex) Dachenhausen of Sandy Hook; and his grandchildren, Alex Dachenhausen Jr. of Southbury, Summer Dachenhausen of Newtown, Tiffany Lindeborn, Ricky (Dee) Lindeborn of Southbury, Brittany and Erica Lindeborn of Ohio. Internment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Bethel, CT at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association.
