Robert Hauserman Obituary

Robert Hauserman, 89, of Oxford, CT passed away peacefully on March 5, 2022. Robert was born and raised in Paterson, New Jersey. He married his high school sweetheart, the late Emelyn Saul, in 1954. They lived in several parts of New Jersey before settling down in the Pines Lake neighborhood of Wayne, NJ. They remained in Pines Lake until 2008 when they moved to Oxford Greens in Oxford.

Bob graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering from Newark College of Engineering in 1954. He served as a 1st Lieutenant in the Air Force for two years and then began working as an engineer. After a few years, he changed focus and moved into Human Resources where he remained for the rest of his career, eventually specializing in the area of Equal Opportunity Employment compliance.

Bob enjoyed spending time with family and close friends. He and Emelyn never missed an opportunity to attend events involving their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and cherished their annual family trip to Cape May, NJ. Bob also enjoyed doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles as well as taking and editing photos and watching the Mets.

He is survived by his son, Robert Hauserman (Renée) of Madison, NJ, his son-in-law, Robert Giannini of Middlebury, CT, his grandchildren, Andrea Brunner (Andy Orlando) of New Milford, Valerie Beard (Len) of Southbury, Rachel Hauserman of London, England, and Matthew Hauserman of Gainesville, FL, and his great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Leah, and Maddie Brunner, Kyle, Alex, and Ryan Beard, and Bill and Harleigh Orlando.
