Very generous in nature and often helped friends who needed assistance
Woodbury- Robert A. Beardsley, 71, of Woodbury, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2022, with his loving wife, Wendy, at his side. Bob was raised in Woodbury and resided there with Wendy and their successive Yorkshire terriers, whom they often referred to as “their children.” He worked for Baskin Robbins in Southbury and then started his own painting business.
Bob loved to work in his garden and yard; both of which he kept meticulous. He looked forward to their trips to Wells, Maine where his favorite meal was the biggest lobster around. He enjoyed catching salmon and lake trout off his boat on Lake Ontario and deep-sea fishing. In recent years, he liked watching bears roaming his yard and visiting his deck. Bob was generous in nature often helping friends whenever needed.
Bob is predeceased by his parents, Sophie and Frank, his brothers Billie and Frank (Jr.), and his sister Alice. He is survived by his wife, Wendy and his latest faithful companion Mindy, son Ed, granddaughter Katie, grandson Ian, his son Robert and his wife Dawn and granddaughter Samantha. He is also survived by his nephews Walter and David and his niece Donna, seven great nieces and nephews and a great-great nephew and niece.
