Precious Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, Patricia Ann Maestro Deysenroth, 86, formerly of Norwalk, Danbury and Woodbury, Connecticut entered into eternal life surrounded by her children on Tuesday, August 31 at Bethel Health Care, where she received care for the last 3 years.
Mrs. Deysenroth was born September 20, 1934 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Pasquale Maestro and Rose Perazzini Maestro. Patricia began her career as a Switchboard Operator with Southern New England Telephone where she worked intermittently for 10 years followed by Computer Optics in Bethel as an Assistant Budget Manager, and Norwalk Hospital as a Budget Assistant, Switchboard Operator and Facilities & Maintenance Assistant until her retirement. Following her retirement, she volunteered at Southbury Training School Thrift; where she often brought her granddaughter, Jillian to help volunteer.
Patricia and her husband, Richard enjoyed many years as members of the South Norwalk Boat Club where they enjoyed their love for dancing. She and her husband, Richard enjoyed playing card games with friends for many years and were enthusiastic antique shoppers who loved refinishing furniture. An avid seamstress, Patricia took pleasure in designing slipcovers and draperies for her family and outfits and holiday costumes for her grandchildren. Among many talents, Patricia was also consummate Italian cook and baker. One of her many favorites; she made an Italian sponge cake filled with homemade cream and fresh fruit – a recipe which was loved and requested by many family members. Patricia and Richard enjoyed living 9 years in an in-law with their daughter, Mary, son-in-law, Leon and granddaughter, Jillian.
Patricia leaves behind her three children and their spouses, Richard, Jr., and Diane Deysenroth of Danbury, Mark Deysenroth of Danbury and Mary (Deysenroth) and Leon Yuftczak of Bethlehem, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Henry and Barbara Deysenroth of Redding and three grandchildren, Jillian Yuftczak Smerekanicz and her husband, Brandon of North Carolina, Brianna Deysenroth Frey and her husband, Jason of New York and Nathan Deysenroth of Danbury, along with 4 great-grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews – all of whom she adored so very much. She is pre-deceased by her beloved husband, Richard and beloved brothers, Joseph Maestro and Arthur Maestro.
Calling hours are private. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Patricia’s life with a Mass of Christian burial on Monday, September 20 at 10:00 a.m., at Prince of Peace Parish, Woodbury. Her burial will be private. Munson Lovetere Funeral Home assisted with the arrangements.
