Devoted Wife, Mom And Grandmother
Nann Marie Caruso, 75, passed away at Danbury Hospital on May 7, 2022 after a long illness. She was born on September 11, 1946, to Jack and Nann Marie Cassara of New Rochelle, New York.
Nann Marie was a devoted wife to Ronald Caruso for 54 years. Their love story started when they met at the tender age of 12 while attending middle school in New Rochelle. As high school sweethearts, they attended their Senior Prom together and graduated from New Rochelle High School in 1965. They were married on April 21, 1968 after Ronald came home from his time in the US Navy. They dedicated their time to create a loving home and a beautiful family together. Nann loved spending time hosting family gatherings, playing games on her iPad and was an avid lover of puzzles.
Nann was predeceased by her parents and an older brother Salvatore Cassara, she is survived by her brother Calvin (Lee) and Stephen Cassara.
Nann is also survived by her pride and joy, her loving children David, Robert and Christina whom she treasured and adored. She also leaves behind her most precious gifts, her grandchildren Virginia, Christian, Frankie and Jake who made the Caruso family complete. She is also survived by countless nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home, 235 Main St. N. Southbury from 5 PM until 9 PM. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2022at 10AM at Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main St. S. in Southbury, followed by a burial at New North Cemetery in Woodbury.
