Nancy J. (Kooser) DeAngelis

Nancy Jean Kooser DeAngelis of Southbury, Connecticut died on December 25, 2020 at the age of 84.

Nancy was devoted to her family and treasured every beautiful moment she shared with them. She will be greatly missed by her family Mark and Linda DeAngelis, Matthew DeAngelis and Suz Friedrich, Christopher and Laurie DeAngelis; Sara DeAngelis and Archil Pichkhadze; Rebecca DeAngelis; and by her grandchildren Katherine Quimby and husband Alden, Julie DeAngelis, Elizabeth DeAngelis, Miles DeAngelis, Nye Pichkhadze, Henry Callan and Jillian Callan. She is also survived by her sister Carol K. Fairgrieve of Pittsburgh and beloved nephews Douglas, James, William and their families. Nancy was preceded in death by her sister Linda.

Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania the family moved to Wilton, Connecticut in 1961. Nancy attended the University of Pittsburgh and graduated from Charter Oak State College of CT.

Nancy was dedicated to her church, community service, quality education for children, and to preservation of the environment. Her professional work included small business counseling and fundraising for educational opportunities at colleges, schools, and nonprofit organizations in Connecticut.

A Memorial Service will be held at The United Church of Christ, 283 Main Street North, Southbury, CT 06488. Because of Covid, the service will be held in the future on a Date to Be Determined and when it is safer for us all to be together in order to properly celebrate Nancy’s life.

In lieu of flowers donations may be directed to the Wilton Congregational Church Memorial Fund, The United Church of Christ, Community Trust Fund, the American Liver Foundation (CT) or a charity of the donor's choice.
