Miriam Munger Bilski passed away on September 16, 2020, at the age of 100. She was a kind and loving mother to her children, a wonderful, devoted grandmother, and a thoughtful friend, of which she had many. She was born in Queens, New York, and resided in New York City for 35 years, after which she moved with her family to Pearl River, in Rockland County, NY, where she resided until 1991.
She then moved to Southbury, CT where she lived for 20 years, and to New Haven’s Tower One for 6 years, before passing away peacefully at Whitney Health Care Center in Hamden, CT. She leaves behind one daughter, Victoria, two sons, Christopher and Andrew, her grandchildren David, Anna, John Tomas, and Cassandra, and several great-grandchildren. Her eldest son, Peter, Jr., died April 8 of this year. Her husband, Peter Sr., passed in 2008. She worked as a psychiatric nurse for many years in Rockland County.
She traveled far and wide whenever she could and chose the experiences of traveling over material goods. “I could buy a dinette set,” she used to say, “but I’d rather see the world.
