Michael J. Vincitorio

Michael Joseph Vincitorio died Monday, September 11, 2023 at home after a brief illness. He was 62.

Mike was born on June 13, 1961 in Jersey City, NJ, the son of the late Dr. Joseph and Eleanor (Mullaney) Vincitorio. Raised in Waterbury, CT he was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School and earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Post College.

He married the love of his life, Vanessa Duby in 1993. They shared 30 wonderful years together.

Mike owned and operated Watertown Convalarium from 1991-2022, where he was able to provide kindness and compassion to whomever walked through those doors.

Mike enjoyed golfing, 4th of July horseshoes and adventures with his many friends. He made friends everywhere he went, and he had a heart of gold. Mike was always ready to help others and his generosity knew no bounds. Always the life of the party, Mike was funny with a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh!

In addition to his beautiful bride Vanessa, Michael leaves his favorite sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Stan Surette of Shrewsbury, MA. His nephews, Christopher Surette and his wife Maggie of North Andover, MA and Michael Surette of Shrewsbury, MA. His niece Jaclyn Lowe and her husband Patrick. His great nephews and great niece, Jack Lowe, Colin Surette, Kate Surette and Michael Lowe. Mike also leaves behind his Uncle Alexander Vincitorio, cousins Nori Ann Vincitorio, Marci Vincitorio and her husband Tull Patulak, Alec Vincitorio and his wife Mary.

Michael was predeceased by his Aunt Rosemary Vincitorio.

Although his immediate family was small, his love for others was vast.

Family and friends will honor Michael’s life by gathering Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 11:00am-1:00pm at the Southbury location of Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home located 235 Main St. North.
