Michael Joseph Trosan

Michael J. Trosan, 64, of Southbury passed peacefully at his home on Friday August 7, 2020.  Michael was born in Bridgeport, CT to Joseph M. and Barbara L. Trosan, and moved to Newtown, CT, the place he will always call home, when he was 2.  Michael attended Sandy Hook School, St. Rose, Newtown Middle School and Newtown High School where he was a standout on both the baseball and football teams.  Michael went to Central CT State University before joining the Marine Corps.  After leaving the Marines, Michael worked for the USPS, and finished his degree at Western CT State University.  Michael ventured into business on his own, where he ran two business’ and then went into the insurance field where he worked up until the time of his passing. 

Michael is survived by his wife Marjory of 30 years, his son Brian Trosan and his wife Robyn Burke Trosan and children Loudon, Brandon, and Derek, his daughters Meghan Trosan Samuels and her husband Adam Samuels, Becky Trosan Laughlin and her husband Matthew Laughlin and children Nicholas, Lucas, Benjamin, and Jonathan, Katie Burns Rissolo and her husband Adam Rissolo and children Stevie Louise and Emmett, and Sarah Burns Beedle and her husband Paul Beedle, Michaels Mother, Barbara L. Trosan and his 6 brothers and sisters, Sharon Trosan Eaton, Richie Trosan, Kathy Trosan Shepard, Donna Trosan Shanks, Barbara-Joe Trosan Vaiuso, and Robert Trosan and his 12 nieces and nephews. 

He was pre-deceased by his father, Joseph Michael Trosan, and his younger brother Billy Trosan. He loved his children dearly, and his 9 grandchildren were his pride and joy.  He was a loving Husband, Father, Brother, Son, Papa, and Grandpa that will be missed immensely.

Services will be held at Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home in Southbury, 235 Main St N, on Friday August 21st from 3-5pm, where family and friends are asked to gather and celebrate Michael’s life.
