Marilyn F Muratori-Jarvis

Marilyn F. Muratori-Jarvis, 76, of Bucks Hill Road died on September 11, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She fought a courageous battle against cancer for 7 years. Marilyn was born June 18, 1947 in Bridgeport, CT daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Nemetz) Falandys.

 Marilyn was raised in Fairfield, graduating from Andrew Warde High School in 1965. She moved to Southbury in 1978 and worked for the Town of Southbury as their Animal Control Officer for 35 years. She was a lover of all animals; both great and small. Being the Animal Control Officer was more than just a job to Marilyn. She loved her co-workers at the Town Hall, as they were like a second family to her. She was kind, caring and a wonderful friend.

Marilyn was an avid fan of the UCONN Women's Basketball team, never missing a game. She enjoyed gardening, camping, sewing and crafting. She was a great cook and celebrated every holiday with wonderful family dinners. She loved all of the holidays, but she especially loved Halloween, decorating her entire house.

She is survived by her husband, James, her sons Dale (Hilda) and Kurt (Lori), her best friends Leslie Belval and Linda Galanis, several nieces, nephews, cousins and a sister in law. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Frank P. Falandys. Those who had the pleasure of knowing Marilyn knew that above all else, she loved her family and friends including her pets, Charlotte, Rosie, and Sunny.

 The family is very grateful to the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at the Leever Center in Waterbury and the Southbury Visiting Nurses for their outstanding care, love, and support.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023 from 6:00 -8:00 PM at Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home, 235 Main Street North, Southbury.
