Lois Harte Obituary

Lois Marilyn Harte, beloved wife of the late Patrick Harte, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at the age of 93, at the Benton House of Florence in South Carolina. Born on May 5, 1930, in New York, she was the cherished daughter of the late Louis and Rose (McGorry) Jolly. Lois is preceded in death by her sister Joan DeMaio, and daughters Rosemary (Harte) Blansette and Theresa (Harte) Wackstein.

For many years, Lois dedicated herself as a Federal Reserve Bank processor, an occupation that she excelled in with diligence and care. After retirement, she and Patrick relocated to Bethlehem. She found immense joy in volunteering at the Church of the Nativity and Bethlehem Garden Club where her passion for gardening blossomed. Lois found solace in the outdoors, surrounded by the beauty of nature.

Above all, Lois treasured moments spent with her family, adoring her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with a love that knew no bounds. She leaves behind her son James Harte (wife Gerri) of Florence, SC, daughter Eileen Harte of Boynton Beach, FL, grandchildren James Harte of Canaan, CT, Briana Blansette (husband Chad) of Everett WA, Sean Harte (wife Molly) of Yigo, Guam, Marshall Blansette of Oregon, Marybeth Pike (husband Dan) of Gilbert, AZ, and great-grandchildren Aidan Harte of Summerville, SC, Riley Harte, and Adaline Harte, both of Yigo, Guam, in addition to several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her sons-in-law, Peter Blansette and Ron Wackstein.
