Lois Frances Grecenko, 85, of Bethlehem, CT passed on Tuesday February 6th, 2024 surrounded by her family at Waterbury Hospital in Waterbury, CT. She is survived by her daughter: Elayne Carlson of Watertown, CT and son: James Grecenko and wife Amy Grecenko of Litchfield, ME. She is also survived by several grandchildren: Erin Carlson and husband, Matthew Walsh, James Grecenko Jr. and wife, Aurora Grecenko, Gunner Hoffman, Mischa Hoffman, Molly Hoffman, George Hoffman III, Katie Cox and husband Bennett Cox, Jacob Brooks and wife Zoe Brooks, and 2 great grandchildren: Nikola Grecenko, and Carson Cox. She is pre-deceased by her mother, Frances Stauffer: of Woodbury, CT, daughter: Tamara Hoffman of Keene, NH, and son in law: Carl Carlson of Watertown, CT.
Lois was most known for her love of family, friends, and food. She was a hairdresser for over 40 years at her own beauty shop in Southbury, CT “Hi-Lo Beauty Salon” as well as a CNA for many years. She had a contagious laugh, a beautiful love for animals, and always had a listening ear. She was very proud of her family members who have served and are serving in the military including her son, Jim, grandson, James and grandson in law, Matt. She donated to many Veteran charities throughout the years as well to show her appreciation.
Her services will be public and held at Munson Lovetere Funeral Home located 235 Main St. N. Southbury, CT on Tuesday February 13th from 10am-12pm.
