Kathleen A. McMinn

Kathleen Anne McMinn (Fergusson), of New Milford, CT, went home to Jesus on January 21st, 2022 at age 79.

Kathleen was born to James and Anne (Dilyon) Fergusson on April 15, 1942 in Mount Vernon, NY.  Kathleen graduated from Commerce High School in Yonkers, NY.

After graduation, Kathleen met the love of her life Alexander McMinn. They married on November 12, 1960 and went on to have three children, Patrick, James, and Colleen.

In addition to being a loving mother and Grandmother, Kathleen earned her degree as an LPN and worked at Danbury Hospital.  She was also an administrative assistant for Sonics and Materials.  She also loved watching and was an avid fan of  UCONN girls’ basketball.  

Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God and the Blessed Mother.  She made two pilgrimages to Medjugorje. She was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Church in Woodbury, CT where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. 

Kathleen joins her husband Alexander; parents, James and Anne, and her brother, Wayne Fergusson, in

Heaven. She is survived by her children, Patrick McMinn and his wife Lisa of New Milford, James McMinn of Glastonbury, Colleen Serra of Roxbury, and her grandchildren, Brenden, Morgan, Melissa, Jenna, Avery, Hannah and Joshua.

Kathleen is also survived by her Sister in law Denise Fergusson as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins who will miss her.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, February 19, 2022 11:00am at the State Veterans Cemetery located 317 Bow Lane, Middletown, CT 06457.
