John A Kailukaitis, 86, of Naugatuck, passed away peacefully at home on August 20, 2021 in the company of loved ones. John was born March 20, 1935 in Waterbury CT., the son of Joseph and Ursula Kailukaitis. John served in the Army for two years stationed in Germany.
John and his wife Esther raised their four children in Bethlehem while John was employed at Anaconda American Brass in Waterbury. After being transferred to Illinois in 1981 for four years, John and Esther settled in Naugatuck.
John enjoyed fishing, reading and spending time with his family. He enjoyed visiting family living in Hawaii and Australia and road trips to Illinois.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 64 years Esther Madland Kailukaitis, his son Dan Kailukaitis and his wife Nancy Convard of Hawaii, and daughters Katie Dargan and her husband Richard, of Massachusetts, his daughter Connie Graziano and her husband Al, from Illinois. John also leaves 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son Rick, his parents and 3 brothers and 3 sisters. The family wishes to thank Confort his devoted care giver of three years.
Calling hours will be Friday August 27, 2021 from 4 to 6 pm at Munson Lovetere Funeral Home, 2 School Street, Woodbury. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Alzheimer's Association.
