Frank R. Judson

Frank Robert “Buck” Judson, 80, passed away at Danbury Hospital with his family with him, on September 14, 2022. He was born on August 20, 1942, the son of the late Franklin Harlow and Laurette Jean (Theriault) Judson. Buck, as he was known to his friends, attended local schools such as Woodbury Elementary School and Woodbury High School.

Buck worked on his family farm from his boyhood: milking cows, planting, harvesting and being able to operate all of the equipment. When Buck was twelve years old, he began working for the family business with his father who owned a farm equipment shop. He finally retired at the age of 74 years old. After an accident while pruning a tree which paralyzed him, Buck’s faith never waivered. Throughout the past six years, he was a wonder and encouragement to all who knew him. He was always gentle and kind and always reminding everyone that God loved them. He was very generous in nature, known for helping anyone in need.

Buck’s belief in God was so strong that in his free time he would hand out pamphlets about God’s love. He was a deacon at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Waterbury, and he also sang in the choir.

Besides his parents, Buck is predeceased by his sister Bonnie J. Rose and nephew Steven. He leaves to mourn his loss, three sisters: Gail J. Manning and her children Matthew, Aimee (J.R.), Andrew and Daughter in law Lyn, Nanette (Charles) Scherer and their three children Charles Jr. (Gail), Jane (Chris Gerwein), Peter (Elizabeth), and Tammy J. Terrell and her two children Michael and Chellsee (Doug Jacqueman). Also, Bonnie’s daughter Lorrie and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours for Buck will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at 10:00 AM. A service will begin at 11:00 AM at Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home, 2 School St. Woodbury. Memorial contributions in Buck’s name can be made to the charity of your choice.
