Frank Michael Chiappetta, beloved son and brother, passed away Friday November 5th after a brief but fiercely determined battle with illness. He was 50 years old.
Frank was everything you'd hope a man could be - strong but gentle, resolute but sympathetic. He was one of the most outgoing and gregarious souls there was - there was never a person he couldn't talk to, a friend he couldn't make. He made a lasting impact on everyone he came into contact with, even those with which he had only the shortest interaction.
Although he faced several challenges throughout his life, he dealt with all of them the same way - head-on, with extreme positivity. He was always more concerned with the well-being of those around him, even in the moments when he was suffering the most.
Frank loved to have fun. Whether it was dancing, belting out his favorite Backstreet Boys song, or having a phone conversation with his best friend Mark, he was always smiling. Except when he got on the pool table - THAT was serious business! But even though he loved the game and hated to lose, no matter the result, he always had a great time playing.
Frank was a huge sports fan - he loved the Rangers and the Giants. But, to Frank, no team compared to the Mets. He could recite player stats as if he were reading them out of the paper, and always had an opinion about why they were doing well (or not so well). Regardless of where they sat in the standings, he watched every game religiously - sometimes more than once!
Frank is survived by his mother Barbara, father Frank, brother Darren, dogs Casey and Chloe, and spirit animal Mikey.
He will be missed beyond words. Rest in everlasting peace, Frank. We love you.
