Elizabeth Blanch Gros, 87 , passed away unexpectedly at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital on May 5, 2022 after a brief illness. She was born on June 3, 1934 in Waterbury and lived her entire life in Oakville & Bethlehem. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Laura Gros of Bethlehem.
Elizabeth is survived by her sister Shirley Gros of Frederick, Maryland, her brother, George Gros of Morris, two nieces Laura Speirs of Frederick, Maryland and Leslie Gros of Bethlehem. She is also survived by two nephews Dr. Mark Stanard of Falls Church, Virginia and Jeffrey Gros of Bridgewater, two great nieces Gabriela Saballos of Roseland, Virgina and Kaelan Speirs of Frederick, Maryland two great nephews Justin Speirs of Frederick, Maryland and Alexander Gros of Litchfield, and a great grandnephew Lucas Matteo Saballos of Roseland, Virginia. She is predeceased by her nephew Paul Gros of Litchfield.
Elizabeth, affectionately known as Betsy, was very artistic and excelled at home decorating and garden. She loved spending time outdoors and was a friend to all the local wildlife who visited her gardens including birds, deer, rabbits and wild turkeys. She cared for her parents throughout their elder years and passing. She was kind and generous and loved by all.
