Elaine M. Haggerty

Elaine M. Haggerty, 63, passed away March 13, 2024 at home in Woodbury, CT with her loving husband Christopher at her side. Elaine was the daughter of Lois and Edward Woodin. Elaine attended Danbury and Bethel schools and worked in banking and corporate relocation industries prior to retirement.

On June 1, 1986, Elaine married the love of her life Chris Haggerty and raised their family in New Milford before moving to Woodbury.  Elaine recently became a very proud grandma to her grandson Grayson, whom she loved dearly. Elaine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and person who appreciated all that life had to offer. She was a hard worker and loved family vacations in Outer Banks, NC. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting and crafts. Her natural disposition was sweet and loving, and she always enjoyed a good time.

Elaine is survived by her husband Chris, her sons Gregory Russo (Alexis), Cory Haggerty (Heather) and the apple of her eye grandson Grayson Christopher Haggerty. Elaine is also survived by siblings Bill Woodin, New Milford CT; Diane Miller (Joe), Bethel, CT; Betty Lee, Murrells Inlet, SC, Kathy Zadora, Waterbury CT; Richard (Sharon) Woodin, Murrells Inlet, SC, and Sherry Ludovicy, New Milford, CT; in-laws Diane (Bill) Rein, Laura (Dave) Martell, Robert (Giselle) Haggerty, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Elaine will be sorely missed but never forgotten by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation in Elaine’s memory to the Community Services Council of Woodbury Inc.

A celebration of life will be held at a later time at the convenience of the family.
