Edwin Thomas White, 83, died Thursday, May 14th at his home in Heritage Village, Southbury. Ed was born in Watertown, New York on July 10, 1936 to Pearl Getman. He was predeceased by his mother Pearl Getman, his step-dad Bruce Getman, and his sister Shirley Prior.
Ed was a trucking terminal manager his entire 40 year career. Employed by Oneida Motor Freight and Overnite Transportation. He served in the USMC during the Korean Conflict and loved the corps. Ed loved casinos, pizza and wings.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years Susan Wagner-White, two sons Scott of Wilmington, NC, Stephen of Watertown, NY, his daughter Kelly of Schenectady, NY, as well as his step-daughters Natalie and Sarah. He was very proud of his son-in-law Chris for taking care of our grandchildren Hans, Josephine, Addie and Willem. Another granddaughter, Aliana especially made him laugh. He loved seeing pictures of the kids everyday. Ed also leaves behind three other grandchildren Tara, Christopher and Arionna.
Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home of Southbury will be assisting the family with arrangements. Services will be held at a later date.
