Diane Vicki Schiavo, 65, of Rowley Road died Wednesday April 5 at St Mary’s hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Diane was the wife of Paul Schiavo and loving Mother to Victoria Froehlich and Eddie Froehlich. She was born August 22, 1957 in the Bronx, New York a daughter of the late Victor and Frances Avery.
Diane began her work life as a certified cosmetologist in New York. She has a natural flair for style and that beauty was unmatched. When she moved to Connecticut a nursing career became her true passion and calling. For many years she worked as a certified nurse’s aide, phlebotomist and special care giver as she moved into her retirement.
She is survived by her husband Paul with who she shared seven wonderful years with, her children, Victoria (Jake), Eddie (Katrina), and Granddaughter Estelle as well as her sister Janet, and cousins.
She enjoyed cooking, dancing, traveling and spending time with family and friends. She loved all kinds of animals; especially her two cats, Dom & Mia.
Friends may gather on Saturday April 22, 2023 from 11 am to 12 pm, at the Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere. At noon a memorial service will be held in her memory.
