After graduating from Danbury High School in 1972, he went on to Western Connecticut State University. He earned his bachelor’s in communications, as well as, an associate degree in law.
Dean served his country in the Air Force as a Sergeant from 1973-1977.
Dean continued serving by joining the police force for the State of Connecticut, starting at Fairfield Hills then Southern Connecticut State University, with a successful career spanning 20 years. Dean found the most enjoyment as a driving instructor for The Next Street Driving School in Watertown. True to Dean’s spirit, he continued to be active in his local community, volunteering as a little league baseball coach in Woodbury.
Dean found pleasure in cooking, taking the time to prepare meals for his family. Some of his specialties included homemade chili and pea soup. He was happiest surrounded by his loved ones, including his cherished pets; Mac, Maya, Zorro, Noodles, and Harlow and many others.
