Carl Fuegeman Obituary

  Carl Fuegeman, 78, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2018, at his home in Southbury, CT with his devoted wife, Jean, at his side.

  He was born November, 9, 1939, in Mt. Kisco, NY, son of the late William and Mary (Zazverskey) Fuegeman.

  He served in the U.S. Navy from 1959 - 1963 aboard the submarine USS Irex 482 during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

  Carl graduated from Norwalk State Technical Institute and Bridgeport Engineering Institute with degrees in Metallurgical and Mechanical Engineering.

  He was the founder of Carl Fuegeman Builder/Developer, Inc. and a well-respected builder in the Fairfield County area.

  Carl was a vestry member of both St. Thomas Church, Bethel and Church of the Epiphany, Southbury.  He was also a member of Bethel Lions (past President) and The Royal Order of     the Golf Twisters.

  He is survived by Jean (Pressmar) his loving wife of 54 years; three daughters and 9 grandchildren.  Karen (Lynn) Woodruff, Tara and Kyle; Suzanne (Paul) Melanson, Nathalie, Lauren, Connor and Luke; Jennifer (James) Quish, Jr., Valerie, Audrey and Daphne; and his sister, Eleanor (Louis) Bova, and many nieces and nephews.

  Carl enjoyed the NY Yankees, golf, gardening and taking a ride in his red Corvette---but most of all he loved his family.

  A Celebration of Life will be held on June 30, 2018, at Church of the Epiphany, 262 Main Street North, Southbury, CT at 1:00 pm.

  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hartford Hospital Helen and Harry Gray Cancer Center or Hartford Hospital @ Home Hospice.
