Brian Davis Obituary

Woodbury- It is with great sadness that the family of Brian C. Davis, 57, of Woodbury, CT, announces his passing on March 13th, 2023.

Brian was born in Danbury, CT on April 19th, 1965, the son of Charles N. Davis and Patricia Williams. He was a graduate of Danbury High School, class of 1983, and Technical Career Institute of West Haven, CT, 1985.

Brian’s automotive and technical education served him well in his very successful career. In the early years, he worked mostly in automotive venues. He eventually became the Director of Facilities at Pomperaug Woods Retirement Home in Southbury, CT, and at Benchmark Split Rock Senior Living Facility in Shelton, CT and, most recently, Isabella Freedman Retreat Center in Falls Village, CT.

His enthusiasm in the automotive industry kept him involved in Stock Car Races at the Danbury Racearena and he was a big fan of NASCAR. Over the years, Brian would drop everything to rescue family members broken down on the road.

Brian had a great appreciation of nature and enjoyed tracking wildlife in the woods around his home and in the local nature preserves. He liked hiking, especially at his favorite destination, returning again and again, to Acadia National Park in Maine.

In his 20s, Brian could be found in his element at Southbury’s Longhorn Cafe. He loved the camaraderie there, starting early each Friday night, playing cards with the bartender and owner, cutting the rug–especially couples country dancing–and was there to close it down. He and his sister Carolyn forged many friendships there.

Brian leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother, Patricia Williams, his step-father James Williams of Woodbury, CT; his sisters, Carolyn Davis and her partner Frank Morrone of New Haven, CT, Kristin Dineen and her husband Denis, their children Kira and Brendon of Brookfield, CT; a step-brother Chad Williams and his wife Katie, and their daughters, Hazel and Olive of Fort Collins, CO; a step-sister Melissa Williams of West Hartford, CT; and Brian’s companion, Rosa Simeone and dog, Pixie of Woodbury, CT. Brian was predeceased by his father, Charles N. Davis.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, March 17th, 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Munson Lovetere Funeral Home, 2 School St., Woodbury, CT.
