Audrey Jean Mallette

August 3, 1937 ~ July 30, 2023 (age 85) 85 Years Old

Obituary

Audrey Jean Brandt Mallette was born in Tupper Lake NY August 3rd 1937. She recently passed away on July 30th 2023.

She was the daughter of John Westly Mallette and Ellen Anna Brandt Mallette.

Audrey was the oldest of six, she had 5 younger brothers, Jack, Randy, Richard, Carl and Bobby. She is survived by her brother Carl.

As children, they lived for a while on a small farm with Horses, Cows, Dogs and Chickens and she always had a love for horses.

As a girl, she liked to swim, chase snakes, jump off the bridge with her brothers and as Carl says "chase them around and keep them in line."

She said she actually tried to avoid her brothers by climbing trees so she could read books in peace.

As a young lady, she liked to go dancing, go to rodeos and hang with her best friends Karen, Norma and Wendy.

She married at 18 and had three children, Debi Broadway,  Dawn Simons, and Ralph Arbitelle, all who survive their mother.

In 1958, she attended a Jehovah’s Witness Convention at Yankee Stadium and eighteen years later, she would become one herself.

Audrey’s faith was her strength. She loved it and never wanted to miss a meeting and she would talk to any and all that would listen to her hope.

As an adult, she enjoyed good food, her friends, her family, gardening, cooking, antiques and country living in Woodbury.

Audrey has been described as an eclectic personality because of her varied interests and by one account as the most loyal person they have known.

One of her favorite quotes of Jesus was at Luke 23:43 “Truly I tell you today, you will be with me in paradise” as it strengthened her hope in the new world to come.

Until that time, Audrey will be missed as she was well loved by her family and friends.

Audrey is survived by her brother, her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many beloved friends.
