Arthur Peck Sr. Obituary

Arthur Lawrence Peck, 79, of Newtown, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday November 21st at Danbury Hospital. He was born on October 25, 1941 in Newtown, CT. He is predeceased by his parents Kenneth and Alice Peck (McGinley), his brothers Charlie, Kenneth, John, and Jack, and his son Daniel.

Arthur was the second eldest of eight siblings. He was born and raised in Newtown, CT and graduated from Newtown High School in 1958. Over the years he worked at Eagle Pencil, UPS,  and Nordex Inc. After getting married to his wife, Linda, they raised their three children in Danbury, CT. Arthur and Linda were married for 58 years.

When he wasn’t working, Arthur enjoyed golf, playing cards, and tending to his garden. He always enjoyed his annual golf trips to Myrtle Beach, camping in Troy, Maine over the summer, and spending time with his two granddaughters.

Arthur will be remembered by all those who knew him as a kind, funny, lively, and generous person. He was loved by everyone he crossed paths with for his sarcasm, quick wit, and sense of humor. He had such a big personality that will be sorely missed.

Arthur is survived by his wife, Linda, his daughter Dawn Peck, his son Arthur Jr., daughter in-law Lisa, his sister Edy and her husband Joseph Tani, his sister Karen and her husband Bill Leonard, his brother William and his wife Rahnna Peck, his beloved granddaughters Emma and Ashley, and his great-grand dogs Pup and Roo.
