Southbury- Arthur S. Paventy, 79, of Heritage Village, passed away on October 2, 2022, at the Waterbury Hospital, after a long struggle with Parkinson’s Disease.
Arthur was born in Waterbury on April 28, 1943 to the late Samuel J. Paventy and Helen (Bottachari) Paventy. He attended Cheshire Academy, graduating in 1961, and then attended Nathaniel Hawthorne College in Keene, NH, graduating in1966. Arthur began his career at the Ben-Art Mfg. Co., Prospect, a family business. Arthur ventured out on his own and began Arthur S. Paventy Development Corp., where he constructed many homes and commercial businesses, including many Dunkin Donuts franchises.
Arthur is survived by his beloved son, Stephen A. Paventy, of Bethlehem, NH, his sisters, Diane Witkoski (Robert) of Washington, CT and Donna Duncavage (Tom) of League City, Texas. He also leaves behind in sadness several nieces and nephews.
In accordance with Arthur's wishes for cremation, arrangements have been entrusted to the Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home, in Woodbury, CT. A Funeral Mass in his honor will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022, at 11:00 am, at Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main Street S, Southbury, CT 06488. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in his memory. The Paventy family thanks you for your generosity and heartfelt words of comfort.
