Lifelong Resident of Southbury
Southbury, Arlene A. (Grisgraber) Hatfield, 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 9, 2021, at VITAS in Waterbury, after a short illness. She was the widow of Daniel W. Hatfield.
Arlene was born on March 25, 1931, in Southbury, CT, the daughter of the late George and Lucy (Stillson) Grisgraber of Southbury. She was educated in the Southbury school system. Arlene took pride in taking care of her family and home. Her passion was her flower gardens that were admired by family and neighbors. Arlene worked as a waitress for many years at Three Gables Restaurant in Southbury and then at the Curtis House in Woodbury.
Arlene was the last remaining sibling in her family. She was predeceased by her sisters Bertha Lane, Lucille Terrell, and Myrtle Krager, and a brother, Frederick Grisgraber. She leaves behind a son, Stephen Hatfield and his wife Linda, two daughters Barbara Parmelee and her husband George, and Kathy Corliss and her husband Edwin. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Christopher Corliss and his companion Tracie Clevenger, and Tiffiani (Corliss) Bogart and her husband Kyle, as well as her beloved great-grandchildren Camden Kenneth Bogart and Charleigh Rose Bogart.
There will be a graveside memorial service at Pine Hill Cemetery in Southbury on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at 10am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Southbury Ambulance Association, 68 Georges Hill Rd, Southbury, CT 06488.
