Anthony Russo, Jr. Obituary

Anthony Thomas Russo, Jr. (aka Tony) age 79 passed-away on December 21. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Judy Bello Russo of Oxford, CT; as well as his daughter Lynn Russo Hawthorne and her husband William (Sam) Hawthorne of Southbury; his brother Carl Russo and wife Karen of Redding, CT and his sister-in-law Renay Bello Mishico of Huntington, CT. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews, their spouses and children.

As a boy he followed in his father’s footsteps by having the ability to make friends wherever he went.  He didn’t have an enemy in the world. He also learned carpentry, plumbing from Dad. His electronics knowledge was gained from the CT School of Electronics from which he graduated.

Tony created his own successful business called Support Technologies in the late 80’s.  It provided B to B Sales and Service to a multitude of industries, up and down the east coast.  He loved the travel and learning about industries new to him.

He also had multiple interests; wine, NASCAR, football, music, airplanes from WWII, model airplanes to name a few. Hunting was enjoyed with his brother in their earlier years. He made certain to research upcoming purchases of significant value.  While car shopping, he frequently knew more about the car than the salesman, which as a salesman himself, he found unacceptable.

Family and friends turned to him for advice or help about their TVs, DVD’s and their setups.  He was always willing to help.  And they would turn to him about more significant issues in their lives as well.  His wisdom was invaluable.

He will be dearly missed by all his family and friends and the love of his life, his wife Judy.

We would like to thank all the staff at River’s Glen facility that cared for Tony during his last week.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 26, 2020 held from 12 to 1pm at the Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home, located at 235 Main Street North, Southbury, CT 06488.
