Allen Trabka Obituary

Allen Francis Trabka, 66 years old, entered into eternal rest at Danbury Hospital on Friday, September 24, 2021 surrounded by family.

Beloved husband of the late Susan Trabka (Eannotti), father of Ashley Dayton (Trabka) and her husband Stephen Dayton, whom he leaves behind, in addition to his three greatest blessings, his grandchildren, Brantley, Landon and Lorelai Dayton.

Allen loved his family more than anything, especially his grandchildren who have been the light in his darkest days and have brought smiles to his face throughout his battle with cancer. Allen, referred to as “Na-Na” by Brantley, Landon and Lorelai, was an active participant in their lives. His memory and the memories he created with them will live on for eternity.

Allen was born on February 9, 1955, in Derby, Conn., the son of the late Alexander and Stella Trabka, brother to the late Andrea Pawloski.

Allen loved to dance the night away with his late wife, Sue; they were the life of the party. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, attending races with his best friends, Dan Grabowski and John Lanaro; hunting with his son-in-law; enjoying his daughter’s cooking and spending time with his grandchildren.

A graduate of St. Joseph’s High School, Allen went off to Sacred Heart University, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Allen had a long, accomplished career with Sikorsky Aircraft/Lockheed Martin, making lifelong friendships along the way.

Allen leaves behind countless friends and family members, his friends at Rolando’s and Rose’s restaurants. He will truly be missed.
