Mrs. Wilma Evelyn Beasley Phillips, 90, of Southbury died Wednesday November 7th, 2012 at Waterbury Hospital. She was the wife of the late William T. Phillips.
Mrs. Phillips was born August 18, 1922 in Derby a daughter of the late Albert Edward and Anna Sara (Lang) Beasley. Wilma attended Seymour High School and graduated from Ansonia Business College. She worked as a secretary for Seymour Commercial Company, Peter Paul in Naugatuck and Stemmler Archery in Middlebury. She was an active member of the Church of the Epiphany in Southbury and an active member of the Friends of Gladys Taber. Her hobbies included playing the organ, wintering in Florida and playing cards.
She wished to give thanks for all the good things she had in life, children, grandchildren, friends and good health for most of her 90 years.
She is survived by her children Cathy Anne Weissmann and her husband Erwin E. of Southbury, Thomas Albert Phillips and his wife Natalie of Trumbull, and Gerald Allen Phillips of Southbury; her grandchildren, Stephanie Decker and her husband David of Middlefield, Sara Doutney and her husband Josh of New Milford, Russell Phillips and his wife Sabrina of Sandy Hook, Thomas W. Phillips and his wife Crhis of Canton, Ohio and Mike Weissmann of Southbury; Great grandchildren, Abigail Doutney, Devin Phillips, Dylan Phillips, Preston Phillips, Vanessa Phillips and Ellen Phillips and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Jane Claire Ovesne and Alberta Mae Blackman.

Services: A funeral service will be held on Saturday November 10th at 10am at the Church of the Epiphany, Southbury. Burial will follow in Southford Cemetery, Oxford.
Visitation: Friends may call at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson - Lovetere, 235 Main St. North, on Friday November 9th from 4 - 7pm.
