William Vincent Scully, of Oxford, CT peacefully passed away at age 68 on February 14, 2011 after a short battle with cancer. Vinny was born in the borough of Queens, NY on September 21, 1942 and grew up in Old Greenwich, CT. After graduating from St. Mary's High School in 1961, he enlisted in the Airforce. Upon completion of his service he started working for the Southern New England Telephone Co (SNET/AT&T) where he worked for 40 years before retiring. A long time Norwalk resident, he was actively involved in the Norwalk Karting Association where he served as the vice-president for one term. Vinny leaves behind a loving family including his wife of 6 years, Virginia (Jinx) Rooney-Scully, his two daughters, Amy Scully D'Apolito and her husband Damian, Christine Scully Wadhams and her husband Brent, and 5 grandchildren, Joseph, Olivia, Michael, Brynn and Ben. In addition he is also survived by his 5 loving siblings, Geraldine Scully, Dennis Scully, Pam Scully, and Joan Scully of California and Emily (Scully) Pagliaro of Connecticut.

Services: A memorial mass will be held on Friday, February 18th, 2011 at 10am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Rt. 67, Oxford, CT 06478.
Visitation: Vinny's family will receive friends on Thursday, February 17th, 2011 at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere 235 Main Street North from 5-7 PM.
