William Langer, 82, a longtime resident of Wilton, died on February 22nd in Sebastian, FL, his home for the last 12 years.
Mr. Langer was born November 28, 1926 in Manhattan, NY.
A US Navy Veteran of World War II, he served aboard the USS Alabama. Mr. Langer was a master cabinetmaker and owned and operated the Harvest House Furniture Store on Route 7 in Redding for many years. In his spare time, he was an avid gardener and landscaper. Aside from his longtime companion Carol Allgood, he is survived by his son James (Kirk) Langer of Southbury, his daughter Gwen Langer-Nicyper of Redding, his granddaughter Alexandra Nicyper of Redding, his sister Katherine Labazzo of Peabody MA, one brother Alfred Langer of New Milford and fourteen nieces and nephews. His sister, Charlotte Johansen, and his former wife, Marilyn Soderstrom Langer predeceased him.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Heart Association or Green Peace.

Services: Calling hours will be held on Saturday March 21 at 10: 00 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11: 00 a.m. located at Munson -Lovetere Funeral Home, 235 Main Street Southbury, CT.
