William "Bill" Green, 92, of East Hill Road, Southbury, died Monday June 29, 2009 at the Watermark at East Hill. He was predeceased by two wives, Betty Nixon Green, and Mary "Mollie" McIntyre Green.
Mr. Green was born on January 24, 1917 in Scarsdale, NY son of the late Norman and Grace (Naylor) Green. He was raised in Scarsdale, and had lived in Roxbury before moving to Southbury. Mr. Green was very proud of serving with the US Army, where he fought in the Battle of Casino, where he was taken prisoner.
He is survived by 2 sons, Bob Green of Hawaii, Russell Green, 3 grandchildren, Michael, Billy, Melissa, several cousins, nieces & nephews.
