''Bill'' Wilson

Mr. William C. "Bill" Wilson, Sr., 75, of Woodbury, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 1, 2015 at Danbury Hospital surrounded by his family. Bill was happily married to his loving wife Sigrid for 52 years. Bill was born July 6, 1939 in Norwalk. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps. He ran and owned the family business, Wilson's Hardware in Wilton for many years, where he was loved and respected. In the last few years before retiring, Bill worked at Ring's End in Bethel. He loved his tools and equipment and enjoyed fixing things. He was affectionately known as "Mr. Hardware." Those who knew Bill knew him to be a kind, gentle and witty person who you could always rely on for a good joke and a laugh. His favorite past time was spending time with his wife and family and his 1955 MGTF. Bill was a member of the MGT register and NY/CONN, and a life member of the NRA. Besides his wife Sigrid, he is survived by his son Scott and his wife Mary of Beacon Falls; his brother Leland and his wife Erika of Wilton. Bill was pre-deceased by his son, William Jr.

Location: Munson-Lovetere Southbury
Services: Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 7 at 11: 00 a.m. at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 235 Main St. North. Burial will follow in Fairfield Memorial Park in Stamford.
Visitation: Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
