IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William M
Andricovich
November 24, 1939 – November 27, 2025
William M. Andricovich, known fondly as Bill, passed away on November 27, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on November 24, 1939, in Bridgeport, CT, he was the son of the late Nicholas Andricovich Sr. and Genevieve Walters Andricovich. Bill attended Bridgeport public schools and graduated from Bullard-Havens Technical High School, where he studied plumbing and played football.
Bill began his working life as a plumber in the Bridgeport area. His adventurous spirit soon led him to Kansas, where he worked as a cowboy and truck driver. He eventually returned to Connecticut and settled in Southbury; the community he called home for the next 50 years. There, he co-owned and operated several well-known local establishments—The Three Gables Restaurant (later Sabill's and then 88 Main Street South) and The Rathskeller Lounge. He also served the Town of Southbury as assistant building official. After retiring from the restaurant business, Bill continued his commitment to public service as the building official for the Town of Brookfield and later for the Town of Newtown.
Bill is survived by his sister, Eileen Andricovich; his sister-in-law, Mary Nolan Andricovich; his nephews Nicholas, Darren, and Richard; his niece Heather; his five children; seven grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, great-nephews, and great-nieces. He is also remembered with love by his dear friends Eileen and Steve Gorham, Pat Kearns, and Patricia I.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, dearest brother, Nicholas Andricovich II, and his nephew, Dana.
Bill will be remembered as a devoted brother and friend. He took pride in his work, cherished the companionship of his dogs, and enjoyed watching football and traveling. Quiet and loyal, with a flirtatious charm, he left a lasting impression on all who knew him. In keeping with Bill's wishes, the family will not hold a public service or gathering. They invite all who knew him to pause for a moment of personal reflection and to hold close the memories shared.
