Walter J. Henderson, 74, passed away Monday, February 2, 2015 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of Judith "Judy" (Wehger) Henderson. He was born on March 1, 1940 in Port Chester, New York and was the son of Leo P. Henderson and Mary (Bannon) Henderson. He attended Iona Prep and graduated from Greenwich High School and the University of Bridgeport. He also served his country with the United States Navy after graduating high school. He served as a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives for the 112th District (Monroe and Shelton) from 1975 through 1981. He later joined AT&T and retired as a telecommunications manager.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 155 in Woodbury and the Washington Masonic Lodge 19 in Monroe. Walter is survived by his wife Judy, his son Jeff, his sister Doreen Peacock, and two nephews and nieces.
