WALLACE C. PARSELL, JR.


SOUTHBURY- Wallace C. Parsell, Jr, 84, of Southbury, passed away on Friday September 28th 2012 at Vitas Innovative Hospice Care at St. Mary's Hospital. Wallace was the son of the late Wallace C. Parsell, Sr. and Dorothy (Harrington) Parsell.

Wallace was born in Waterbury on September 13, 1928 and lived in Southbury all of his life except for two years he spent in the US Army. He was stationed in Korea from June 1952 to June of 1953. Wallace owned and operated Parsell's Auto Service since 1959.

Wallace is survived by his wife Anna (Sterling) Parsell, one daughter, Karen (Kenneth) Guralnick from Torrington and two sons, Wallace C. (Michelle) Parsell, III from Woodbury and James (Karen) Parsell from Southbury. Four grandchildren, Brett Guralnick and Tessa Guralnick from Torrington, Kristi Parsell and Kimberly Parsell from Southbury, one brother, Howard (Carol) Parsell from Southbury, two nephews Howard (Lisa) Parsell, Jr. and Edward Parsell from Southbury and a grand niece and two grandnephews from Southbury.

He was predeceased by a sister, Lorraine Parsell.

The family would like to thank Dr. Richard Biondi and his office staff and the staff at the Vitas Innovative Hospice Care at St. Mary's Hospital for the exceptional care, comfort and love extended to Wallace and his family.

Cemetery: Pine Hill Cemetery

Location: Munson-Lovetere Southbury

Services: A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 1: 30 p.m. at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 235 Main St. North.Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.

Visitation: Friends may call the funeral home on Monday from 5-8 p.m.
