BETHLEHEM- Mrs. Vita S. (Marchione) Carey, 94, of Bethlehem, died Monday March 22, 2010 at her home. She was the wife of the late Walter R. Carey, Sr.

Mrs. Carey was born September 4, 1915 in Bristol, CT, daughter of the late Peter and Angelina (Arre) Marchione. She has resided in Bethlehem for 40 years, previously living in Oxford. She enjoyed fishing, cooking and reading. She was also an avid vegetable gardener.

She is survived by two sons, Walter R. Carey, Jr., and his wife Gloria of Bethlehem and Thomas Edward Carey of Agerton, MA, a sister Nancy Navaro of North Haven, six grandchildren, Benjamin, Kimberly, Rebecca, Leann, Ariel and Amanda, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by three brothers, Matt, Frank and Joe and three sisters, Julia Pettrucci, Mary and Lena.
