Mrs. Virginia Cummings, 97, of Westchester Gardens died Saturday January 27th at her home. She was the widow of John A. Cummings.
Mrs. Cummings was born September 21, 1909 in Winchester, Virginia daughter of the late Harry and Mary (Hollis) Gordon. She moved from Stony Brook, Long Island in 1972 to Heritage Village, Southbury where she resided until 1997 when she then moved to Clearwater, FL.
She is survived by a son, John G. Cummings of Davenport, FL., a sister Mary Whitacre of Baltimore, MD., 4 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter Virginia Ahrens.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday February 3rd at 10am at Sacred Heart Church, Main St. South, Southbury. Burial will be in the spring.
